In a shocking turn of events, despite poor performances by Josh Krajcik last night, he managed to make it into the semi-finals. Chris Rene was also voted safe, so what does that mean? It meant the the bottom 3 were Marcus Canty (his 3rd time), Melanie Amaro and Rachel Crow.

Out of the 3, Melanie had the highest number of votes so she was safe as well. That meant Marcus Canty and Rachel Crow would be singing for survival. At this point, you can already see the young Rachel Crow begin to worry as any very young girl would do in a huge competition.

Marcus Canty sang “I’m going down” and gave a pretty good performance. But when Rachel Crow came out and sang “I’d rather be blind” she blew everyone away. This should have been an easy decision to make. So what happened?

Despite L.A. Reid admitting that Rachel Crow had the better performance he actually said he would remain loyal and send Rachel home because Marcus was “his guy”. Simon Cowell was next and without hesitation said I’ll miss you Marcus but, you’re going home. Paula Chose to send home Marcus as well.

So that meant one thing, Nicole Scherzinger could have had the deciding vote. As the camera panned over to her, Nicole was already crying. Rachel Crow got on the mic and told Nicole to stop crying and that she would be okay with whatever decision she made. So what does Nicole do? She fully “cops out” and deadlocks the competition to let “America” decide who will win. This decision was met with heavy boo’s from the crowd.

So it came to the decision of votes and unfortunately, Rachel had the least amount which meant she was going home. This is when I experienced probably one of the hardest things to watch. The young talented starlet broke down and began to cry.

Marcus Canty wanted to console her but was held back by the host for some odd reason. Rachel’s mother came running on stage along with Simon to console Rachel who with a few minutes of talking was able to muster up the strength to say she loved everyone and that she was nothing without her fans.

Simon took the mic to say this won’t be the last time we see Rachel. When Nicole was asked to say something, the crowd immediately boo’d her off stage and rightfully so. Nicole totally sold Rachel Crow out. For what reason? I have no idea. But this was by far the most disgusting act I have seen by judges. L.A. Reid is a disgrace for his lack of “Keeping it Real” by just sticking with Marcus because he was mentoring him and Nicole for not owning up and breaking this little girls heart.
