The legendary Phyllis Diller has passed away in her sleep at 95-years-old. Phyllis Diller paved the way for many of today’s female comics and if you ask Joan Rivers, she would agree.

Joan Rivers was on “Watch What Happens Live” said that Phyllis Diller:

broke the way for every woman comedian.

The only tragedy in [Diller's] entire life is that she was funny in an era when you had to look funny to be funny.
Her lines were so brilliant that all she had to do was stand on the stage and say ‘em and you would have cracked up.

Phyllis Diller performed alongside comic legends such as Groucho Marx and Bob Hope in the 1960′s and also starred in “The Phyllis Diller Show” and “The Beautiful Phyllis Diller Show.”

Phyllis Diller, a true Pioneer in Comedy. You will be missed. RIP.
