Teller, one half of the comedy/magic team – Penn & Teller, filed the lawsuit in Nevada saying a magician by the name of Gerard Bakardy posted a YouTube video, in which he performs a trick called “The Rose & Her Shadow.”

The problem is, one of Teller’s most famous illusions is called “Shadows” (copyrighted in 1983) is the exact same thing. Teller has been performing the trick with his partner Penn Jillette since 1976.

Teller also says the rouge magician Bakardy is also trying to sell the secret behind the illusion for $3,050.00

Teller is suing for copyright infringement and demanding a court order to block Bakardy from selling the trick, and ever performing it again.
