ABC News has released pictures of what is supposed to be the bloody head of George Zimmerman. The original police report that night notes that the back of Zimmerman’s head was wet, and that he was bleeding from the nose and head.

Zimmerman also apologized to the parents of Trayvon Martin: “I wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your son,” Zimmerman said in his first public statements about the death. “I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am. I did not know if he was armed or not.”

Zimmerman was also released on $150,000 bail as he awaits trial for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
